Kindercentrum 'De Groene Helden'

Welcome to Kindercentrum ‘De Groene Helden’ at Hoofdweg 15 in Balkbrug. Our green childcare concept keeps children outdoors almost all day: they sleep, eat and drink outside while exploring nature with all their senses. Our qualified staff guide children aged 0–4 in a rich outdoor environment where they pick berries, care for animals, go on morning walks, search for little creatures and even safely light fires. Nature is our classroom for discovery, experience, rest and energy release. Our daily rhythm starts with free play from 7:00–9:00, followed by a music or yoga session. After drinks and a toilet break, free play continues until a guided activity at 10:30. At 11:30 the children share a meal, get changed and the youngest nap outdoors at 12:30. The afternoon offers another activity and closes with a snack and free play until 18:00. We integrate Early Childhood Education (VVE), daily music or children’s yoga, self-reliance training and healthy nutrition. Children learn to set their own boundaries and develop respect for nature, animals and each other. We go beyond conventional daycare by offering a truly green experience.
