Welcome to Kindercentrum De Bloeiboei at Audioweg 5 in Almere – the place where your child can safely grow, blossom and discover. We provide small-scale day-care (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely setting, just a stone’s throw from DoeMere shopping centre. Our day starts at 07:00 with a calm drop-in moment where every child is given time to settle and play freely. Around 09:30 we sit together for fresh fruit and a story; we read real picture books that fit the current theme. After that it’s nappy-change time, followed by a play and exploration period: inside in our richly arranged corners or outside in the secure garden with natural materials. At 12:00 we enjoy a warm, healthy meal together – we take allergies and special wishes into account. After clearing up, each child gets the rest they need; babies sleep in separate, quiet bedrooms and toddlers in cosy beds on the group. Between 15:00 and 15:30 they are refreshed and we start a creative or discovery activity: think singing, dancing, painting or themed play such as sowing seeds in spring or building with autumn leaves. We end the day with a snack and free play until parents arrive; you always receive personal feedback on how the day went. We work thematically and according to Early Childhood Education (VVE) principles. Every theme – for example ‘My family’ or ‘Spring’ – forms the basis for language, motor and social-emotional development. Our pedagogical staff are specialised in the 0-4 age group, hold the correct diploma and a paediatric first-aid certificate. We offer horizontal groups: babies (0-1), toddlers (1-2) and pre-schoolers (2-4) each have their own space so activities and rest are perfectly matched to their developmental stage. Everything is included: nappies, wipes, formula, warm meals, fruit and drinks. Special dietary needs can be discussed. Our door is open from 07:00 to 19:00 and half-days are possible. We value personal contact: on arrival and departure there is always time for a chat and for the very youngest we keep a hand-over notebook.
