Welcome to Daycare Christoffeltje, located in a beautiful wooden house at Schouwberg 27 in Roermond. As part of Stichting ISTIA, we have been providing small-scale childcare based on anthroposophical principles for children aged 0 to 4 years since 1982. Our homely environment with soft colors creates a secure atmosphere where young children can safely develop. The spaces are furnished with toys made from natural materials such as wool, cotton, and wood, allowing children to stimulate their senses and discover the world around them. We believe that children experience their environment intensely, which is why we offer a calm, homely atmosphere where they can discover themselves and the world through imitation. At Christoffeltje, we work with mixed-age groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. This vertical grouping aligns with our vision that younger children learn from older children, while older children learn to take responsibility for the little ones. This creates a natural, homely situation where siblings from the same family can often be together. We offer Early Childhood Education (VVE) and Toddler programs, taking into account each child's developmental stage. Every season brings its own songs, games, seasonal celebrations, and activities. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine, where children have the freedom to move and discover nature. Our food is consciously organic, and we provide a peaceful sleeping environment. We are open daily from 08:00 to 17:45 and offer both full and half-day care. Our location manager Gerry Havens is ready to personally welcome you and give you a tour of our special location.
