Kindercentrum Bij Onzzz

Welcome to Kindercentrum Bij Onzzz, a warm and small-scale daycare centre located at Birdaarderstraatweg 68a in Dokkum. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years, with personal attention and a homely atmosphere at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is for every child to feel safe, valued and free to be themselves as part of our ‘family’. The day starts between 7:00 and 9:00 with a welcoming moment: we take time to chat with parents and children, sing together or enjoy some movement. At 10:00 fresh fruit is served, followed by activities such as play, crafts and games. Our lunches are freshly prepared using healthy ingredients. After rest or nap time we read stories, draw or explore new things together. At 15:00 and 16:30 the children receive a healthy snack (vegetables, fruit or yoghurt) while listening to a story or song. Pick-up is possible until 18:30. We follow the pedagogical vision of Thomas Gordon: we approach children with respect and explain why something is or isn’t allowed, instead of simply imposing rules. This helps children take responsibility for their own actions and grow in self-confidence. Parents stay informed through the Bitcare app and can also check in via camera for extra peace of mind. Kindercentrum Bij Onzzz is open daily from 7:00 to 18:30, except on national holidays and during a two-week Christmas closure. We offer both full and half-day care, tailoring our activities and care to each child’s age and developmental stage.
