KDV Babbels

Welcome to KDV Babbels located at Lutulistraat 146 in Hoofddorp. We are housed in a characteristic building with a warm, homely atmosphere. As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the peach blossom on the walls, the plants, the warm wooden materials and the tidy, orderly environment. This calm, secure environment is exactly what young children need to feel safe and to develop optimally. At KDV Babbels, we work according to an anthroposophical vision. This means we place the individual development of each child at the center. Every child is unique and possesses their own talents. We provide care for children from 0 to 4 years in horizontal groups. Our youngest children (0 to 1.5 years) have a separate room on the first floor where rest and routine are central. The toddlers (1.5 to 3 years) play on the ground floor in a space specially designed for their developmental level. The preschoolers (3 to 4 years) also have their own room on the first floor where they can play and learn in a stimulating environment. Our pedagogical staff create an environment where children can play and discover. We consciously choose sustainable and natural materials and toys. Much of our play material is not fully formed, allowing children to shape the toys themselves with their imagination. This stimulates their creativity and imaginative power. In our group rooms, different play corners are set up where children can withdraw or play together. We pay great attention to creative activities such as crafting, puppet play and singing. Children become acquainted with different materials and techniques. We read daily from beautiful picture books and sing songs that match the seasons. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily activities. We have our own outdoor space where children can romp, build sandcastles and discover nature. At KDV Babbels, we want to embody respect for nature and people for the children. These values are reflected in everything we do: from the range of activities to the decoration of the space. We work with permanent pedagogical staff who maintain intensive contact with parents. Together we create a safe and familiar environment in which every child can develop optimally.
