Kinderbolwerk

Welcome to Kinderbolwerk, our daycare center located at Nederstraat 39 in Middelburg. As part of Kinderopvang Walcheren, we provide a homely and safe environment for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is just a stone's throw from Veersche Poort shopping center and is playfully and warmly decorated, with children's crafts displayed on the walls throughout. At Kinderbolwerk, children love to play in the many play areas we've created. In the construction corner, they build towers with DUPLO, and in the reading corner, we often arrange chairs in a circle where our pedagogical staff regularly read books aloud. The raised platform offers an ideal spot to retreat and look at pictures in the many picture books. For babies, we have a large playpen with cushions, a hanging and rocking cradle, and a play mat. Toddlers can let their imagination run wild in the fun play kitchen where they prepare delicious meals for each other using various pots and pans. Our large natural garden is a true adventure for children. They hide behind bushes, run through the willow tunnel, and bake sand pies in the outdoor kitchen. For babies, there's a special outdoor playpen with artificial grass, allowing them to safely crawl and play outside. In summer, we love to picnic with food and drinks in baskets under the parasol at the picnic table. We dance to music and sing our favorite songs loudly together. Kinderbolwerk accommodates up to 64 children and is the only location of Kinderopvang Walcheren with this capacity. We're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
