Kindcentrum Zonnebloei B.V.

Kindcentrum Zonnebloei B.V. is located at Constantijn Huygenslaan 1 in the centre of Muiden and offers after-school care (BSO) for up to 50 children aged 4 to 12. We are part of Kinderopvang Zonnebloei, an organisation that has provided small-scale, safe and trusted childcare in the Gooise Meren region since 2022. Our BSO is designed to give children a pleasant place to be after school. We pick the children up from nearby primary schools and bring them to our bright, spacious group room. The groups are arranged horizontally, which means that children stay in a fixed age group with peers. Each group has at least one permanent pedagogical employee who acts as a mentor; this person is the first point of contact for both child and parent and closely monitors the child’s development and well-being. We follow a clear pedagogical policy laid down in our work plan. Central themes are learning through play, encouraging independence and offering peace and structure after a busy school day. Our staff support children’s learning through stories, games, investigations and encounters with animals. We also provide space for relaxation: playing outside in our own garden or finding a quiet corner with a book. Safety and health are high on our agenda. Our location has an up-to-date safety and health policy that is evaluated annually and adjusted where necessary. All staff members hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and receive regular training in paediatric first aid and pedagogy. Parents are kept informed of important changes via our parent app and can also receive photos and short reports about how their child has experienced the day. We believe it is important that parents remain involved in their child’s care. We therefore have an active parent committee that advises us on policy and activities. We also organise regular parent evenings and short drop-in sessions to talk and share experiences. For questions or comments, parents can always contact our location manager or their child’s mentor.
