BSO Workum Sinnefleur

Welcome to BSO Sinnefleur in Workum, the place where children aged 4 to 12 can safely, happily and challengingly be themselves after school. We are part of the Workum Child Centre, in which day-care, pre-school care, after-school care and primary schools together form one warm, continuous learning and living environment. Thanks to this cooperation, transitions are smooth and every child immediately feels at home. Play, friendship and discovery are at the heart of everything we do. While playing, children build social skills, learn about boundaries and face the world with confidence. A permanent team of dedicated pedagogical staff knows exactly what older children need: space to make their own choices, gain new experiences and share adventures together. Our groups are divided into a 4+ group and a 7+ group, so activities fit perfectly with each child’s stage of development. We offer an active programme that ranges from sports and games to creative and nature-experience projects. During study days and all school holidays we provide a varied schedule, so parents can always rely on us. BSO Sinnefleur is located at Weverswei 3 in Workum and has room for 22 children. We follow a bilingual policy: both Dutch and Frisian receive full attention, supported by the Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opfang (SFBO). In this way we contribute to rich language development and a warm connection with Frisian culture.
