Kindcentrum Willibrordus

Kindcentrum Willibrordus is located on the ground floor of primary school Sint-Willibrordus in the Gorzen district, Schiedam-South. We provide small-scale, vertical full-day care for up to twelve children aged 0 to 4 in one home-like group. Thanks to our close cooperation with the school, our Pedagogical Staff and the teachers can quickly consult each other whenever this benefits your child’s transition. Our day runs from 07:00 to 19:00 and follows a clear rhythm of play, sleep and meals. Children nap in a separate, quiet sleep room and play both indoors and outdoors on the spacious school playground. We carefully observe what each child needs and offer the right challenge and rest at the right moment. This allows a child to push boundaries from a place of trust and discover his or her own role within the group. For toddlers from 2.5 years we run two Short Childcare with Pre-school Education groups (VKV). Toddlers attend two or five half-days a week and work playfully on language, numeracy and social skills. The VKV programme is open 40 weeks a year; you do not pay during school holidays. If your child has a CJG indication, the municipality will cover part of the costs. We also offer Samenspel op Maat: a play session for children aged 1.5 to 2.5 together with a parent. Every Wednesday morning from 08:30 to 10:00 you can meet other parents in a relaxed setting while your child practices playing together.
