Kindcentrum Sint Jan

Kindcentrum Sint Jan is located at Volleringweg 24 in the heart of Waarland and, as an integral child centre, is part of the interdenominational Blosse foundation. Under one roof we combine primary education and after-school care, so that children aged 4 to 12 can continue to play, discover and relax in a familiar environment straight after school. Our after-school care (BSO) is designed to continue children’s development after school in a playful and meaningful way. We offer both pre-school care (VSO) from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and after-school care from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. During school holidays and study days we are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Care takes place in the same building where the children attend classes during the day, providing calm and familiarity. We work from the vision that learning is a journey of curiosity, discovery, experimentation and learning from mistakes. Our pedagogical staff guide children with attention and expertise. Activities include sports and movement, arts and crafts projects, cooking and shared meals. We tailor activities to the children’s interests and make use of the facilities within the child centre, including a gym and outdoor areas. Parents are actively involved through the parent committee for childcare and can communicate directly with pedagogical staff via Kwieb. Together we create a safe and challenging environment in which every child can bring out the best in themselves.
