Kindcentrum Pittelo

Kindcentrum Pittelo is a daycare facility (KDV) operated by Stichting CKC Drenthe Kinderopvang, located at Amstelstraat 14B in the Pittelo district of Assen. We provide daycare for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our setting features a vertical group where children of different ages play and learn together. The pedagogical climate is designed to support each child's optimal development. We follow a pedagogical policy plan that outlines how we deliver preschool education, ensuring every child receives at least 960 hours of preschool education from the age of 2.5. Our spaces are safe and stimulating: the KDV group room is 56 m² and accommodates 16 children. There is a dedicated baby corner with a floor box and an Emi Pikler climbing frame, various play corners, and a dining table. For the youngest children, we offer a separate sleeping area tailored for infants up to 1.5 years old. This room is quiet, well-ventilated, and marked with a sign when a child is sleeping. Our outdoor area is spacious (over 48 m²) and offers plenty of play opportunities, including a sandbox with play equipment and space for riding bikes. We work with dedicated pedagogical staff who serve as mentors for a fixed group of children. The mentor tracks the child’s development and discusses this regularly with parents. Parents can always approach the mentor with questions about their child’s well-being and development. Our facility is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and provides a familiar environment where children feel safe and at home.
