BSO Paulusburcht

We are Kindcentrum Paulusburcht, located at Eerste Groenelaan 88 in Castricum. Under one roof we provide both education and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our after-school care (BSO) is a natural extension of the school day and is fully aligned with the vision and team of the child centre. Every child is assigned a personal mentor, a qualified pedagogical staff member who knows the child best and is the first point of contact for parents and child. The mentor monitors the child’s well-being during BSO hours and discusses progress annually with parents. All information is safely stored in our parent portal, enabling parents and teachers to guide the child together. Our rooms are set up with special ateliers where children can choose which materials they want to play with. Examples include building huts with large Lego blocks, crafting in the home corner, or exploring with construction materials. We ensure the offer suits all ages and developmental stages. Children are encouraged to make independent choices and to tidy up afterwards. We regularly organise fun activities and excursions, such as the annual school camp for grade 8, focused on sports and relaxation. We also collaborate with the parent council on festive projects like Children’s Book Week and a farewell musical for grade 8. In between, there is always room for quiet time or homework. Parents stay informed through Social Schools, our secure parent portal where we share news, photos and practical information. We value open collaboration with parents, because together we create a safe, challenging and enjoyable place where children feel at home.
