Welcome to Kindcentrum Montessori KDV, located at Droppingsstraat 6 in Leeuwarden. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland and have been providing warm, professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 for many years. Our location is licensed for 58 places and follows the authentic Montessori method. Everything we do centres on sparking your child’s natural curiosity. We believe that every child, from birth, has an innate drive to develop. That is why we offer a carefully prepared environment where your child can explore, play and learn at his or her own pace. Our pedagogical staff – all certified in first aid – observe attentively, step in at just the right moment and provide activities that match your child’s development and interests. We work with vertical groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are together. The youngest watch the older ones; the older ones learn to be caring and patient with the youngest. In this way they stimulate and learn from each other, developing not only cognitively but also socially and emotionally. Language development is high on our agenda: we read aloud daily, sing songs and offer materials that stimulate vocabulary and speaking skills. Creative activities such as drawing, painting and crafts are also plentiful. Our spacious, green outdoor area invites children to play and explore in nature. We go outside almost every day; fresh air and exercise are essential for healthy development. Indoors, everything is tailored to the needs of young children: cosy sleeping areas, a safe play corner and a quiet place for bottle feeding. Nappies, formula, fruit and drinks are included in the price, so you can drop off and pick up worry-free.
