Kindcentrum Maravilla

Kindcentrum Maravilla is located at Kuyperlaan 2 in the centre of Vlijmen and is part of Stichting Mikz kinderopvang. We provide after-school care (BSO) for up to 108 children aged 4 to 13. Since 13 August 2012 we have been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 190088813 and meet all statutory quality requirements. Our pedagogical staff work closely with the two primary schools in the immediate vicinity. Children in the lower years (4-6) are collected from their classroom after school; older children walk independently to our 7+ group. The afternoon always starts together at our long tables with something to eat and drink and plenty of time for a chat. Afterwards the children decide for themselves where they take part: in the studio, discovery corner, construction corner or lounge corner. Creative children can craft, paint and experiment with the light box; movers can romp around on our large outdoor playground or go to the nearby football pitch. For our activities we use professionals in the field of sports and games as well as visual arts. We believe that childcare time should really be free time: children decide for themselves what they want to do and when. Before school starts there is before-school care (VSO); children play a game or read a book and we make sure they are in the classroom on time. Outside, together with a landscape architect and the schools, we have developed a challenging play environment: a vegetable garden, a sensory garden and plenty of space to move around.
