KDV Kornalijn

KDV Kornalijn is located within Kindcentrum Kornalijn at Emmastraat 43 in Meppel. We provide Christian, small-scale daycare in a warm, homely atmosphere where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. The facility has 29 places and is rooted in a clear Christian identity. All staff share the vision and working method of KleurRijk: we care deeply for children, aim to pass on Christian values and let them experience God’s love. Each day we pray together, listen to Christian children’s music and celebrate Christian holidays. We work with fixed groups and familiar staff so every child receives the security and attention they need. Groups are horizontally structured by age. The youngest children have their own enclosed outdoor area with sand, water, plants and ride-on toys. Outdoor play is part of our daily routine; we go outside every day because we believe it is just as important as indoor activities. The environment is designed to stimulate play, social contact and self-development. Structure and rhythm are central: meals and drinks are offered at set times and activities match each child’s developmental stage. We cooperate closely with the primary school located in the same building. When children turn four, the daycare leader hands them over to the kindergarten teacher in a careful transition. Themes and celebrations are aligned so children experience a seamless journey from daycare to school. Diapers, wipes, fruit, bread meals and drinks are included in the fee. Parents provide formula and warm meals themselves. We accommodate allergies and other dietary needs. Children sleep in a separate, quiet sleep room. Our Christian daycare is an extension of upbringing at home and offers children aged 0 to 4 a safe, loving place to grow.
