Kindcentrum het Octaaf

Kindcentrum Het Octaaf is situated on the edge of the Baggelhuizen district in Assen, within the multifunctional Schakelveld centre. Since March 2023 we provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 at this location. In a safe, cosy and familiar environment the very youngest are given space to play, discover and learn from one another. We work with small-scale groups: a maximum of 16 children at a time, so that every child receives the personal attention they deserve. Our pedagogical staff guide the children according to the principles of Early Childhood Education (VVE), with a strong focus on language and speech development. A major advantage of childcare within our children’s centre is that the transition to primary school will be a very natural step: after all, the toddlers already feel at home in the same building.
