Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum het Krijt, located at Schoolstraat 29 in the centre of Assen. We are part of CKC Drenthe, an organisation that provides Christian primary education and childcare at 31 sites across the province. Our BSO is designed for children aged 4 to 12 who have not yet reached primary-school group 8. Every school day we start outside so the children can let off steam after lessons. We work in a positive, safe and relaxed atmosphere where clarity and predictability are key. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for parents to combine work and family life. To that end we offer extra services such as a breakfast service for children who arrive early for morning care, and a pick-up and drop-off service to sports clubs or other activities. This service is available on weekdays after school until 17.00 at the latest and only within Assen. Through our digital parent portal we keep parents up to date with their child’s experiences every day. We have a spacious outdoor play area and a varied activity programme in which sport and play have an important place. Throughout the school year we organise fun outings and excursions. We also remain open on teacher-training days and during school holidays; in the holidays children can attend from 07.30 to 18.00.
