Kindcentrum De Zonnewijzer

Welcome to Kindcentrum De Zonnewijzer, a warm and secure place located at Middenweg 30A in the heart of Heerhugowaard. We are a Jenaplan child center where childcare and education seamlessly come together under one roof. For our youngest children, from 0 to 4 years old, we provide a familiar environment where they can develop optimally. Our daycare follows the Jenaplan concept, which means every child is unique and follows their own developmental path. We work in family groups with different ages, where the youngest children learn a lot from the older toddlers. Cooperation, independence and respect are central. Rhythm, circle conversations and celebrations are fixed parts of our daily care. We offer preschool education (VE), especially valuable for children who need extra support or are still learning Dutch. Our pedagogical staff closely follow each child's development through the digital system "mijn reis". Parents receive photos and reports via the Konnect app, keeping them informed of all special moments. Our spacious group areas are set up with different corners: a doll corner with kitchen, a construction corner, a reading corner and a creative studio. Outside we have our own playground where children can romp, build sandcastles and discover nature. We regularly go on excursions in the neighborhood, for example to the library or the park. For the very youngest we provide diapers, wipes and bottle feeding. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. The children sleep in separate sleeping areas with cribs and beds. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Half days are possible, as well as flexible care days. We believe children learn by playing, discovering and experiencing. Together with parents we form one team around the child. You are always welcome for a cup of coffee and a chat. Because at De Zonnewijzer, children grow up in a close-knit community where every child counts.
