Kindcentrum de Wiekslag is located in the brand-new multifunctional building ‘De Wiekslag’ at Erf 1 in the heart of Stompetoren. Under one roof, Forte Kinderopvang and primary school De Wiekslag (ISOB) work closely together, allowing children aged 0-12 to move seamlessly from childcare to education and back again. Our day-care centre (KDV) is small-scale and works in age-specific groups. The spacious, bright rooms overlook a beautiful outdoor area with natural materials, a large sandbox and green play areas where the very youngest can explore safely. We tailor our daily programme to the world of experience of babies and toddlers. The pedagogical staff follow the familiar routines of your child: playing, sleeping, eating and cuddling alternate at a calm pace. The very youngest have separate sleeping rooms with cots and toddler beds; toddlers are given space to play, build, sing and move together. Through direct cooperation with the primary school, our toddlers are introduced to the school playground, gym and library at an early age. This familiar environment makes the transition to pre-school and later to group 1-2 smooth and relaxed. Parents experience the convenience of one location, one team and one fixed contact person for both childcare and education. We believe personal attention is very important. That is why we work with fixed small groups and familiar faces. Your child is given time to settle in, grow and feel safe.
