Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum de Wentelwiek, located at Jacobushoek 5 in the heart of Nuenen. We are part of the integral child centre De Wentelwiek, where primary school, toddler care and after-school care come together under one roof. This means that children aged 4 to 12 can play, discover and grow in a familiar, green learning environment after school. Our BSO is fully focused on the world of school-age children. We work in two age-oriented base groups: ‘De Schildpadden’ for children aged 4 to about 7 and ‘De Haaien’ for children aged about 7 to 12. This horizontal grouping ensures that activities, materials and guidance are perfectly tailored to your child’s developmental stage. Outside there is plenty of space to run, climb and clamber in our challenging garden. Inside we have several group rooms where children can build, craft, play games or just relax. We offer a varied activity programme: from sports and games to nature excursions, from crafts to experiments. Children are given the space to make their own choices and discover their talents. Our pedagogical staff are on hand with personal attention and encourage independence and self-reliance. We believe it is important that children feel safe and valued so that they can get the best out of themselves. Together with De Wentelwiek primary school we form one team working from the same vision: children learn and develop best when childcare and school dovetail seamlessly.
