Kindcentrum De Wegwijzer

Kindcentrum De Wegwijzer is a Christian child centre in the heart of Westerbork where children aged 0 to 13 play, discover and grow together. Our daycare centre (KDV) is specially designed for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Since September 2023 we have been offering toddler care at our location at Homaat 2. We welcome up to 16 children per day in a dedicated group room with adjacent outdoor play area. The space is bright, safe and inviting, so children feel at home right away. We work closely with the kindergarten groups of the primary school, which are also located on the ground floor. This connection provides a familiar and structured transition to primary education. Our pedagogical team consists of experienced and committed childcare professionals who follow each child in his or her own developmental rhythm. We offer a safe and familiar environment in which children learn and develop through play. Our daycare centre is open four mornings a week from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We provide pre-school education (VVE), working on language, numeracy and social skills in a playful and natural way. We use recognised VVE methods that connect with the world of experience of young children. Our activities focus on discovery, experimentation and playing together. We make use of our own outdoor space and the school playgrounds for movement activities and nature experience. As part of the CKC Drenthe foundation, we stand for Christian identity and quality in childcare and education. We welcome every child with respect for his or her background.
