Kindcentrum De Vloot

Kindcentrum De Vloot is located in the vibrant multifunctional complex ‘De Vloot’ at De Vloot 99 in Maassluis. As a day-care centre run by Stichting Wijzer in Opvang, we welcome up to 64 children aged 0 to 4 years. We are open 52 weeks a year from 07:30 to 18:30, giving parents flexible and reliable childcare. We work with horizontal groups: a quiet baby group, a toddler group and a pre-school group, so every child receives care and stimulation suited to his or her age. Our pedagogical plan ‘KDV-IKC De Vloot 2024’ focuses on learning through play and discovery. We use the Early Childhood Education programme ‘Startblokken’ to foster language, numeracy and social skills. Throughout the year we explore a new six-week theme—such as ‘animals in the garden’, ‘light and dark’ or ‘construction site’—so the world grows a little larger every day. Our setting offers a generous outdoor playground where children can run, build sandcastles or enjoy an outdoor nap in the fresh air. Indoors, separate sleeping rooms with cots await; nappies, wipes and formula are included for our youngest guests. The pre-schoolers receive a warm, healthy lunch and fresh fruit. We accommodate allergies and dietary needs and work closely with parents to keep every child safe and healthy.
