Kindcentrum de Vlindertuin

Located at Rochetstraat 4 in Voorthuizen, Kindcentrum De Vlindertuin is part of the Protestant Christian Organisation for Childcare & Education (PCOGV). Under one roof we provide day-care, toddler programmes and primary education for children aged 0-13. Our day-care centre (KDV) focuses on children from 0-4 years. We follow a continuous developmental line that is grounded in scientific insights about what young children need to grow optimally. Our pedagogical principle is that every child is unique and able to learn. We offer a knowledge-rich curriculum in which language development plays a key role, because a solid language foundation between 0 and 6 is essential for later school success. Children who do not yet master Dutch receive extra support. We use the KIJK! child-tracking system to monitor each child’s well-being and engagement and to tailor our programme accordingly. The day-care centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A consistent team of pedagogical staff guide the children in one location, ensuring continuity and trust. The transition from day-care to education is therefore seamless: children remain in the same familiar building and already know the teachers from joint activities we organise to strengthen the continuous learning line. Our Christian identity is reflected in the way we interact, in communal singing, Bible stories and celebrations. We welcome all families who respect our foundation.
