Welcome to Kindcentrum de Stroom, located at Rijnlaan 103 in Helmond. As a public child centre we offer a continuous developmental path for children aged 2 to 13 under one roof. In partnership with KAAT Kinderopvang we provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12. Our setting is small-scale and clearly arranged, ensuring every child receives the personal attention they deserve. Our BSO is guided by a clear pedagogical vision: after an intensive school day children are given both rest and space, yet are also challenged to discover new things. We offer a varied activity programme that connects with the children’s world of experience. We organise sports and games, creative workshops and make regular use of our in-school library, set up by Bibliotheek Helmond-Peel. Excursions into the neighbourhood are part of our schedule, as is participation in traditional events such as King’s Games, the four-day walking tour and the annual upper-grade camp. Our after-school care is housed in the same building as the primary school, so children remain in a familiar environment and can use the same facilities, including a spacious play hall and a green outdoor area. We work closely with the school teachers, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Parents can pick up their children until 18:30.
