Kindcentrum de Schutsluis

Kindcentrum De Schutsluis is located at Juliana van Stolbergstraat 1 in the charming town of Blokzijl and is part of Accrete. We combine Christian primary education and childcare under one roof. Our after-school care (BSO) welcomes children aged 4 to 13, every weekday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Together with parents, our enthusiastic team creates an open atmosphere of trust where every child feels comfortable and safe. We are convinced that discovery is the most natural form of learning. Therefore, we offer a stimulating environment in which children develop their talents through play. Making mistakes is allowed, because it proves you are learning. Our pedagogical approach is based on personalised, discovery-oriented development: we tailor activities to each child’s individual level and pace. This gives every child the space to be themselves and prepares them optimally for tomorrow’s society. Children, parents, staff and the wider community together form Kindcentrum De Schutsluis. We apply the Kanjer principles throughout the centre, teaching children self-confidence, positive thinking and how to interact well with others. Our BSO is fully integrated with the primary school, ensuring a smooth transition after school and allowing children to stay in a familiar environment.
