Welcome to Kindcentrum de Schutkampen in Smilde. We provide a safe and familiar environment for children aged 0 to 4 years in our daycare center (KDV 1). In a cozy group room with adjacent and fenced outdoor space, our permanent pedagogical staff professionally provide childcare five days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM. Our child center operates from a Christian conviction and stands for community: we celebrate life together with you! We offer a rich learning environment where your child's development is central. Our pedagogical staff closely monitor your child's development and tailor activities accordingly. We have a specific focus on language development, as we know this forms the basis for later development. For the youngest children, we offer quiet moments and a separate sleeping area. For toddlers and preschoolers, we organize playful activities that match their curiosity and developmental stage. We work with fixed daily routines where playing, sleeping, eating and changing alternate in a familiar way. Our outdoor space is safely fenced and offers plenty of opportunities to play and discover outside. We believe it's important that children can also sleep outside in special prams, weather permitting and with parental consent. As part of CKC Drenthe, we work together with the primary school within our child center. This means the transition from daycare to kindergarten goes smoothly. From one month before their 4th birthday, your child can already visit the kindergarten class several times to get used to it. We use Social Schools for communication with parents.
