Kindcentrum De Meander

Located in the Kattenbroek district, our integral child centre De Meander at Het Avontuur 45 offers both public primary education and after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13 under one roof. Our BSO has room for 66 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 2013 under number 136913313. After school, children have the freedom to decide what they want to do. Our pedagogical staff provide a safe and familiar environment where playing together is central. Children can enjoy the outdoors on our playground and in the play hall, prepare a theatre performance, or quietly read a book. We offer challenging activities in the areas of sports, games and creativity, with children choosing whether to participate. From building their own escape room to sporty challenges – anything is possible. For older children in years 7 and 8, there is the ‘Kids café’ on Tuesdays: an after-school care facility with homework and study guidance, where pupils from other schools are also welcome (subject to availability). Skills such as cooperation, taking turns and consideration for others are developed in a playful way and carried forward into later life. Our professionals in childcare and education work closely with parents to determine what is best for each child. For more than 30 years, we have stood for a pedagogical vision in which the child is central and in which we help children discover their place in the world.
