Kindcentrum de Kleine Waaier AZC

Kindcentrum de Kleine Waaier AZC is located on the grounds of the asylum seekers' center at Voorsterallee 1 in Zutphen. We provide professional childcare specifically for children from the AZC. Our facility is situated within primary school De Waaier and consists of two groups: a baby/toddler group for children aged 0-2 years and a preschool group for children aged 2-4 years. The baby/toddler group is open four mornings and four afternoons per week, while the preschool group operates four mornings per week. Preschoolers receive a condensed Early Childhood Education (VVE) program delivered by our dedicated childcare professionals. All our professionals hold level 3 or 4 childcare qualifications and provide children with opportunities to explore, play, eat healthily, and learn the basics of the Dutch language. We implement a specialized VVE program to address language delays and create more equal opportunities. Our childcare facility was established through collaboration between the municipality of Zutphen, the COA (Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers), and Stichting Archipel. This partnership ensures coordination and integration between the primary school and childcare services, optimally supporting children's development.
