Kindcentrum De Kiem

Kindcentrum De Kiem is a daycare center (KDV) located in the multifunctional facility De Kiem at Floralaan 1A in Bovensmilde. We provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is officially registered and supervised by the GGD Drenthe. We work with a clear pedagogical policy plan that outlines our vision on the development of young children. Special attention is given to pre-school education (VVE), where we work structurally on language, mathematics, motor skills and social-emotional development. From 2.5 years onwards, children can participate in our VVE program, using recognized methods and materials. Our groups are horizontally structured, working with age groups. We maintain the legal staff-child ratio and ensure a safe and familiar environment. Our pedagogical staff are professionally trained and have affinity with the target group. We work closely with the primary schools in the same building, which promotes a smooth transition to primary education. Parents are actively involved in their child's development. We share information through theme booklets, newsletters and parent meetings. For handover, we use the development tracking system (OVM). There is also an active parent committee that contributes to policy discussions. Our opening hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 52 weeks a year. We are located in a modern building with various facilities, including a library that we regularly visit with the children.
