Kindcentrum De Groene Borg

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum De Groene Borg, located at Homaat 2a in Westerbork. We are part of Kits Primair and work in partnership with SKSG to provide a warm, safe place for children aged 4 to 12 after school hours. Our BSO is located in the modern Integral Child Center De Groene Borg, a sustainable and green building fully tailored to children's needs. After an intensive school day, we offer children space to relax, play and discover new things. We believe in the power of being outdoors and therefore make daily use of our rich green schoolyard and the immediate surroundings with the beautiful Curringherveld. Our activity program is varied and aligned with SKSG's five pillars: Sports & Movement, Cooking & Nutrition, Nature & Sustainability, Science & Technology, and Art & Culture. Children can participate in sports activities such as live Stratego and Geocaching in nature, creative workshops, or just free play. We offer children freedom of choice: they decide for themselves whether to participate in activities or prefer to rest. Our pedagogical team consists of experienced and enthusiastic staff who work with passion every day on children's development. We use the SKSG parent portal to keep parents informed of all their child's experiences. During school holidays and study days we remain open, so parents can always count on us. At BSO De Groene Borg, the child is central. We create an environment where children feel safe to be themselves and where there is room for everyone's talent. Together with parents, we work towards happy children who stand in society with self-confidence.
