Kindcentrum De Groene Borg

Kindcentrum De Groene Borg is a warm and professional daycare centre operated by Stichting Kits Primair, located at Homaat 2 in Westerbork. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe, homely environment where development, care and enjoyment are central. Our team of pedagogical staff work according to our location-specific pedagogical policy: ‘We give colour to childcare’. We see differences between children as enrichment. We teach children to cooperate, take each other into account and respect one another. For our youngest children, we have the baby group Nijntje, specially designed for children aged 0 to 2 years. This group uses a spacious group room of 56 m² with direct access to a bathroom and kitchen. There are four sleeping rooms available, three of which are directly accessible from the group room. We also have two outdoor cribs, so children can sleep outside. A maximum of 16 children can be cared for here five days a week. For children aged 2 to 4 years, there is the toddler group Spetters. This group accommodates up to 14 children in a 56 m² room. For children from 2.5 years with a target group indication, we offer an early childhood education programme focused on language and speech development and social skills. We work with themes, creative activities, music and outdoor play. Children are also given the opportunity to explore the environment outside their own group, for example by using the play hall or other group rooms. At Kindcentrum De Groene Borg, the development of each child is central. We tailor our activities to the age and needs of the child. We offer structure and rest, but also room for discovery and play. Fruit and drinks are included and we take allergies and dietary requirements into account. A doctor's certificate is required for this.
