Kindcentrum de Borg

Kindcentrum de Borg is located at Dusselheugte 13 in the Marsdijk district of Assen. Within one modern building we provide both education and childcare for children from 0 to 13 years of age. Our after-school care (BSO) therefore offers school-age children aged 4 to 12 the convenience of staying on the same familiar site; no travelling is needed. When the last school bell rings, children can immediately enjoy their free time. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome the children with a healthy snack and drinks, giving them a moment to unwind and share their day. Children are then free to choose: play with friends, romp around the playground, or join one of the many activities. Every day we offer a varied programme covering nature, technology, sports, games, cooking, arts & crafts, music and drama. We use all facilities inside our building – such as the playroom, outdoor yard and library – as well as the adjacent Joop den Uyl park. Physical activity and outdoor play are priorities: we encourage children to go outside every day, either for free play or for organised sports. Together with local clubs in Marsdijk we regularly arrange introductions to new sports and other fun excursions. All activities are designed to challenge and delight every child, ensuring they feel comfortable and can spend the afternoon in their own way. Children are grouped with peers and can stay at the same location as younger siblings, making life easier for parents and more enjoyable for the children.
