Kindcentrum De Binck is located at St. Barbaraweg 4 in The Hague’s Binckhorst district and has offered a seamless learning and care environment for children aged 0-13 since August 2022. For our youngest children, aged 0-4, we have created Domain 1: a safe, stimulating space where daycare and early-years education flow into one another. Because children develop all day long, we do not separate ‘childcare’ and ‘education’; our fixed team of pedagogical staff and teachers work as one, tailoring every experience to what your child needs at that moment. In Domain 1 we work with multi-age groups: children from 0-4 explore, play and learn together. The flexible layout offers quiet corners for sleeping and feeding alongside challenging areas for discovery and creativity. We follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), placing each child’s natural curiosity at the heart of everything we do. Even the youngest children practise transdisciplinary skills such as ‘learning to learn’, communication and self-management through inquiry-based learning. We use broad concepts and themes that connect to toddlers’ worlds and provide ample room for sensory play and outdoor experiences.
