KDV Damwâld De Blokkedoaze

Welcome to KDV de Blokkedoaze in Damwâld, a certified multilingual daycare center that is part of the integral Child Center De Blokkedoaze located at Badhúswei 31b. We provide care for up to 47 children aged 0 to 4 years, working with horizontal age groups. Our location is officially certified for preschool education (VE), allowing us to make a valuable contribution to young children's development. At KDV de Blokkedoaze, we believe in the power of multilingual upbringing. We offer childcare in Dutch, Frisian AND English, enabling children to learn multiple languages through play. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained to implement this multilingual approach in a natural way. We work with the VE program specifically tailored to young children's developmental needs, focusing on language development, social skills and self-confidence through play. Our spacious, well-equipped group areas provide children with every opportunity to play, discover and develop. We have separate sleeping rooms where children can sleep peacefully, complete with baby monitors and suitable beds. For the very youngest we have playpens and bouncy chairs, while toddlers can enjoy our diverse play corners. Our professional kitchen enables us to serve fresh fruit and healthy snacks, and we accommodate various dietary requirements such as vegetarian, lactose-free or gluten-free. The large, secure outdoor space is a true paradise for children. With play equipment, sandboxes and plenty of space to run and play, children can fully express themselves. We regularly organize short excursions in the immediate area and work with themes that connect to young children's world of experience. From making music to crafting, from reading to cooking - at KDV de Blokkedoaze, children experience new adventures every day. As a parent, you stay informed about your child's development through our app. We value parental involvement and regularly organize parent meetings.
