Kindcentrum Claus

Kindcentrum Claus is located at Middenweg 6 in the Oostermeenthe district of Steenwijk. As a Christian Integral Child Centre we provide both primary education and childcare under one roof. Our after-school care (BSO) is designed for children aged 4 to 13 and is open every weekday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 52 weeks a year. We operate from a Protestant-Christian identity. Each day we share Bible stories, sing Christian songs and celebrate Christian holidays. All children are welcome provided parents respect our identity. Together with parents we support every child’s development. Each year we agree how to shape this partnership so that your child can grow according to their own needs and abilities. Our BSO uses the school building itself. Before- and after-school care is provided in cooperation with Kinderopvang KC Claus Accrete. During term time and holidays we offer a familiar place where children can play, explore and unwind after the school day. We follow a five-equal-days timetable with no early closing, so parents can always rely on the same hours. Our team works as one unit: one vision, one mission. We believe children should take ownership of their own learning process. Therefore we offer personalised activities tailored to each child’s pace and interests. We spark curiosity and engagement by letting children learn in the real world and by making use of the natural playground next to our building.
