Kindcentrum Broeckie

Kindcentrum Broeckie is located at Oosterom 3 in the heart of Volendam, right next to the shopping centre. We are a trusted and safe place where children aged 0 to 4 discover the world together with our experienced pedagogical staff. With us it feels like a warm blanket: a place where both children and parents immediately feel at home. Every month we choose a different theme to stimulate the children’s development. Recently we had a real ‘Farm Gang’ where the toddlers got to know animals, vehicles and farm life. We sing, do crafts and read aloud; language receives extra attention, because a good language base makes the transition to primary school much easier later on. For children with an ECE indication we offer four half-days of pre-school education per week, so they get a flying start. Our groups are arranged by age: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are separated, so we can respond exactly to what each child needs. Babies get quiet sleeping areas, customised bottle feeding and gentle care moments. Toddlers practise toilet training, walking and climbing in our safe movement room. Pre-schoolers work on independence, language and social skills through playful learning. We use the ‘Startblokken’ method that connects to the world of experience of young children. Outside we have a natural playground full of challenges: sand, water, swings and climbing equipment. We go outside often, because outdoor play is healthy and educational. Parents can choose half or full days, Monday to Friday between 07:15 and 18:15. Nappies, wipes and sunscreen are included; fresh fruit and a healthy bread meal are served daily. Does your child have an allergy or dietary wish? We are happy to think along and adapt our menu. Our team consists of qualified pedagogical staff who continuously train. We work closely with parents: through parent meetings, a parent committee and an open-door policy. Together we ensure that every child develops optimally.
