Kindcentrum Bloemenoord is located at Kastanjestraat 4 in Waalwijk and is part of Mikz childcare organization. Under the leadership of area manager Dorus de Kort, this location offers various forms of childcare under one roof, including after-school care for children aged 4 to 8 years on Monday through Friday. At our after-school care, children are warmly welcomed after school by a pedagogical professional. There is always time for a nice drink and some fruit. A moment to recover from the busy school day and then enjoy playing! Children have a pleasant time here with a challenging range of activities appropriate to their age. We work with the philosophy of the three pedagogues, where children learn most from each other, adults play a guiding role, and the space and materials invite exploratory play. Our pedagogical professionals listen carefully to the children. We offer various play corners where children can choose from activities such as building in the building corner, reading in the reading corner, or being creative with materials. When the weather permits, children get some fresh air outside. Time to release some physical energy! The outdoor area was completely renovated not long ago. We have really responded to the children's green experience: there is a play pit with wood chips and there are plenty of materials that invite play, such as a hill with a tree trunk that the children climb over. This really taps into the children's imagination, they play all kinds of games, build tree houses and play hide and seek. What characterizes our team is that our staff really enjoy their profession, the passion radiates from them. They pay close attention to each child and show involvement. The knowledge of our pedagogical professionals is regularly updated through training courses. A major advantage of Kindcentrum Bloemenoord is the good cooperation with both primary schools in the neighborhood. This enables smooth transitions and ensures continuity in guiding the children. We pay close attention to the development of children and work closely with education. Children can attend Before-School Care (VSO) every school day from 7:30 am. At our VSO, we let children spend time pleasantly before school starts. They read a book or play a game with one of the other children or the pedagogical professionals. VSO is offered in combination with after-school care. Via Jaamo, Mikz's parent portal, parents can find information, photos and stories about their child's well-being. Parents are always welcome to visit and can contact the pedagogical professionals with questions or comments.
