Kindcentrum Bloemenoord is located at Kastanjestraat 4 in Waalwijk and is part of Mikz childcare organization. Under the leadership of area manager Dorus de Kort, this location offers various forms of childcare under one roof, including a daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years. At our daycare center, we offer children a calm, homely and familiar environment. We sleep and eat according to your child's own rhythm, just like at home. Children receive brought-from-home bottle feeding or breast milk, and when they are older we provide healthy solid food and drinks. Our pedagogical professionals offer stimulating activities appropriate to their developmental stage. We work with the philosophy of the three pedagogues, where children learn most from each other, adults play a guiding role, and the space and materials invite exploratory play. Our pedagogical professionals have an open and positive attitude towards the children and connect with what the child can do. They understand the art of providing opportunities to become independent: putting on and taking off clothes, cleaning windows together, or helping with simple tasks. This gives children confidence and pride. The group rooms are furnished with various play corners, such as a cozy home corner, a reading corner and a building corner. We continuously adapt the furnishing of the corners, the play materials and the activities to match the age of the children and the themes we work with. We are very curious about the input from the children. The outdoor area was completely renovated not long ago. We have really responded to the children's green experience: there is a play pit with wood chips and there are plenty of materials that invite play, such as a hill with a tree trunk that the children climb over. This really taps into the children's imagination. What characterizes our team is that our staff really enjoy their profession, the passion radiates from them. They pay close attention to each child and show involvement by listening carefully to the children's stories. By regularly documenting with photos, we invite children to talk about what they have experienced. Via Jaamo, Mikz's parent portal, parents can find information, photos and stories about their child's well-being. We find it important to listen carefully to parents and coordinate with them, so that more consistency is created for the child in the home environment and at Mikz.
