Kindcentrum Balans

Kindcentrum Balans is a warm and professional after-school care (BSO) location located at Klaverveld 5 in The Hague. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, working closely with parents and schools to create a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment. Our team of dedicated childcare professionals supports children in their development, focusing on independence, responsibility, and social skills. Our BSO is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM. During school holidays and study days, we offer care from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We collaborate with local primary schools, including Kindcentrum Balans itself, to pick up children after school and provide them with a familiar and welcoming place. We offer a wide range of activities tailored to children's interests and developmental needs. These include sports and games, with weekly gym lessons led by specialist teachers. We also encourage creative expression through visual arts, music, and drama, using methods such as ‘Eigenwijs Digitaal’ for music and ‘Drama Online’ for dramatic play. Language and reading development, digital literacy, and world orientation are also part of our program. Outdoor play is a key part of our daily routine. Our location features a spacious garden and playground where children can run, explore, and play together. We regularly organize excursions and cultural activities linked to themes being explored in the group. Quiet spaces are also available for children who want to relax with a book or in a calm corner. We believe it is essential that children feel safe and seen. Our staff closely monitor each child’s development using observation tools like ‘KIJK!’. We work from a clear pedagogical vision that encourages initiative, collaboration, and mutual respect. Parents are always welcome to share ideas and feedback. Together, we create a place where children love to come and where they can thrive.
