KDV Baard De Greidefûgel

Welcome to KDV Baard De Greidefûgel, a warm and homely daycare centre in the heart of Baard. We provide care for up to eight children aged 0 to 4 in a small-scale, safe and familiar environment. Our location is part of Kids First Childcare North Netherlands and is located in the De Greidefûgel Child Centre at Oan'e Kamp 6. With us, everything revolves around peace, regularity and recognisability. The children are cared for in a fixed horizontal group, with babies and toddlers playing separately from the pre-schoolers. The space is furnished with natural materials and offers plenty of opportunities for free play, while we follow and stimulate each child's development. We work according to the pedagogical work plan aligned with Kids First's four pedagogical core objectives: personal competences, social-emotional safety, social skills and norms and values. Our pedagogical staff give each child the attention they need. We spend a lot of time playing outdoors in our own garden, where children can run, explore and play with natural materials. We regularly make trips to the playground and the village. Once a week, there is swimming lessons for the toddlers. Creative activities such as drawing, crafts and singing are also part of our regular programme. We find it important that children feel safe and valued. That is why we work with familiar faces, a clear daily schedule and clear agreements. We actively involve parents in the childcare and coordinate with what the child needs. Together, we provide a warm second home, where children can develop at their own pace.
