Welcome to KIK Childcare Donkerstraat in Teteringen – a warm, small-scale daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 feel safe and at home. Our homely building at Donkerstraat 40 accommodates up to 32 children, divided into horizontal age groups so that every child receives care that matches his or her developmental stage. At KIK, outdoor play and nature experience are central. Every day we go outside: we play in our spacious, green garden, take trips to the forest and explore the seasons with all our senses. Rain or shine – we believe fresh air and movement are the engine of healthy growth. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with great attention and trust; they follow the child’s interests and offer playful activities such as singing, making music, crafting with natural materials and simple gardening tasks. We also use Early Childhood Education (ECE) in which language, motor skills and social skills are stimulated in a playful way. We provide full peace of mind for parents. Nappies, wipes, sunscreen and other care products are included. For the very youngest we provide bottle feeding on request; older toddlers receive a fresh, hot meal from Spoony without artificial additives. In between we serve fresh fruit and healthy snacks. Does your child have a dietary requirement or allergy? We naturally take this into account. Rest and regularity are important. In separate bedrooms with cots, children can sleep whenever they need to. The group rooms are homely furnished with wooden furniture, soft colours and open-ended toys that stimulate the imagination. The outdoor playground invites climbing, running, sand and water experiments – always under the watchful eye of our permanent, qualified staff.
