Welcome to KIK Childcare at Hoolstraat 49 in Teteringen, a warm and small-scale daycare where children aged 0 to 4 feel safe and seen. Our location is part of KIK Kinderopvang Breda B.V., an organization that believes in growing up in connection with nature. With us, everything revolves around personal attention, joy, and healthy development. We offer a home-like environment where children are given the space to grow at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff work from a place of trust, involvement, and joy. Every day, we go on an adventure in our own garden or in the nature around us. Being outdoors and moving is not an extra activity, but a fixed part of the day. We climb, run, collect leaves, and watch insects – in all weather. For the youngest ones, we take care of everything they need: diapers, care products, bottle feeding, and a quiet sleeping area. Meals are also arranged. We serve fresh hot meals and bread meals, fresh fruit, and healthy snacks. Together with the children, we make smoothies, fruit sushi, or bake oatmeal pancakes. We work with ‘Spoony’ and take allergies and dietary needs into account. For toddlers, we offer early childhood education (VE). We work thematically and playfully on language development, social skills, and motor skills. Our activities are tailored to the child’s world of experience. Think of making music, crafting with natural materials, cooking and baking, and gardening in our own vegetable garden. We use open-ended toys and loose parts to stimulate creativity and imagination.
