Welcome to Day-care Centre BunderbosKasteel, a trusted place for young children in Zeist’s Verzetswijk since 1994. Housed in a spacious former school building on Jan Scheplaan, we provide day-care for children aged 0–4 in five home-like groups. The Pooh group is dedicated to babies and toddlers (0–2 years), while Knorretje and Tijgertje are our pre-school groups (2–4 years). The littlest ones have their own safe outdoor area; pre-schoolers enjoy a large, fenced playground with challenging equipment. We follow the Pyramid method: every month a new theme guides play-based activities that stimulate language, motor skills and creative development. Our pedagogical staff observe and record each child’s development on an iPad in the group; parents follow their child live through the secure parent portal. A clear daily rhythm offers fixed moments for play, sleep, meals and outdoor time. For the oldest pre-schoolers we run a special 3+ group focused on school readiness. Safety and security are paramount. We operate a gentle settling-in policy so every child can acclimatise at their own pace. Our staff are trained to recognise developmental characteristics and, when necessary, work together with external specialists.
