Kiekeboe Kinderopvang BSO Bisonkasteel

Welcome to Bisonkasteel, our after-school care location at Padvinderslaan 12 in Zeist. We provide out-of-school care for up to 40 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. The children are divided into two fixed groups: the Boskabouters and the Beaver Gang. Each group has its own team of pedagogical staff who guide and stimulate the children through play. Our location follows the pedagogical policy of Kiekeboe Kinderopvang. This means we focus on four core goals: offering emotional security, encouraging autonomy, developing social competence and strengthening personal competence. We treat every child as a unique individual and give them room to make choices, take initiative and build friendships. Clear structure and agreements help children feel safe, while still giving them the freedom to discover who they are. After school our team collects the children from various primary schools in the neighbourhood. The hand-over from school to after-school care runs smoothly: we receive information about the school day and adapt our activities accordingly. The afternoon starts with a shared moment: a drink and a snack, after which children can choose between quiet corners, creative activities or outdoor play in our garden. We work thematically and connect with the children’s world of experience. Think nature walks, autumn crafts, kitchen projects or sports and games. Parents stay involved through our parent portal. Every staff member posts short reports and photos of the day so you can see at home what your child has experienced. Questions or wishes can always be shared at drop-off or pick-up; we also schedule a yearly 10-minute conversation to discuss your child’s development. Together we ensure that your child feels safe, seen and challenged at Bisonkasteel.
