Kids2b het Schathuis Uithuizermeeden

Welcome to Kids2b Het Schathuis in Uithuizermeeden, a homely daycare centre where your child feels at home from day one. Our Schathuis is located at Hoofdstraat 1, right in the village and surrounded by a spacious, green garden that we use with the children every day. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in two horizontal groups: the baby group (0-2 years) and the toddler group (2-4 years). Each group has its own quiet bedroom and a play area tailored to the age and development of the children. Everything we do is about discovery, movement and being outdoors. We go outside every day, even when it rains. In our large garden children can romp, play with sand and water, garden in the vegetable patch and cook or bake together with our chef using the day’s harvest. While gardening the children learn about plants, animals and seasons; while cooking they practise fine motor skills, language and numeracy in a playful way. Language development is high on our agenda. We read aloud daily, sing songs and offer rich language activities. For example, during the National Reading Days, when ‘Granny Truus’ reads the Picture Book of the Year aloud from a beautiful chair in our reading corner. The children experience how nice attention feels and at the same time expand their vocabulary. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and supported by pedagogical coaches. Together we provide a safe, challenging environment in which your child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace.
