KDV Assen Maasstraat

KDV Maasstraat in Assen is a warm, home-like daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4. We run three horizontal groups—one for babies (0-2), one for toddlers (2-4) and one mixed 0-4 group—so every child receives care that matches his or her developmental stage. The setting features a large green garden where children can run, explore and play outside every day. We also take regular walks to the nearby park and children’s farm. Our enthusiastic team of permanent pedagogical staff provide a rich programme: we sing and make music, do arts & crafts, read stories in our cosy book corner and offer toddler gym sessions. All activities are framed by the Uk & Puk Early Learning programme, which playfully stimulates language, numeracy and social skills and aligns with primary education. Parents appreciate our personal approach: “Very satisfied with the pedagogical staff and their dedication and attention to the child; their proactive thinking is highly positive.” Diapers, fruit and bread meals are included; bottle feeding and special diets can be catered for. We work closely with parents through an active parent committee that helps organise events and advises on policy. KDV Maasstraat is a Binnenstebuiten location: we bring the outdoors inside and the indoors outside, allowing children to discover the world around them through play.
