BSO Assen Lauwers

BSO Lauwers 4 in Assen is a location of Kids First COP group offering after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years. We are located at Lauwers 4 in Assen and provide care for a maximum of 22 children per day. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since January 19, 2023. Our qualified pedagogical staff pick up children from various primary schools in Assen, including OBS Kloosterveen, De Cirkel, De Kloostertuin, Theo Thijsen, Driemaster, Het Krijt, Emmaschool, Sterrenschip, De Aventurijn, Het Kompas, Octaaf, Baggelhuizen and De Meander. We use recognizable jackets and work with fixed pick-up schedules, both walking and by car. Our location features three beautiful childcare spaces: a cozy group room with sitting area and dining table, a special children's cooking café where children can cook and bake themselves, and a chill room to relax. We share our outdoor space with the daycare center and have a beautifully adapted outdoor area including a football cage and a challenging climbing frame. There is also riding material available for even more play fun. Our activities focus on the four seasons, holidays and themes that connect with the children's world of experience. We offer various activities such as crafts, games, circle discussions, reading aloud and singing. During holidays we organize larger activities and special excursions. We believe it's important for children to gain new experiences and discover that the world is bigger than their familiar environment. Our permanent team of qualified pedagogical staff is ready every day to give the children a safe and enjoyable afternoon. We work according to our pedagogical work plan in which we pay attention to the development of each child. We find a good transfer with parents very important and therefore always take time for a personal conversation when bringing and picking up the children.
