BSO Vrouwenparochie De Fierljepper

Welcome to BSO Vrouwenparochie De Fierljepper, a small-scale after-school care facility located on the ground floor of primary school De Fierljepper at Mathijs Beckstraat 65 in the centre of Vrouwenparochie. We are part of Kids First Childcare North Netherlands and provide care for up to 11 children aged 4 to 12. Because we are literally inside the school building, children walk straight into our group as soon as school ends. Our BSO door is open from the end of the school day until 6:30 p.m. On study days and during school holidays we welcome children from 8:00 a.m. Our pedagogical staff work according to the recent pedagogical work plan that was drawn up in consultation with parents. Central to this are the four basic goals: personal competences, social-emotional safety, social skills and norms & values. We give children room to make their own choices, but also offer fixed activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play in our own play area and small outings in the immediate vicinity. We regularly use the school gym for sports and movement activities. Because we work closely with primary school De Fierljepper, we know the children and their parents well. We keep the handover short and personal: when dropping off and picking up there is always time for a chat. Guest children are welcome, provided the staff-child ratio allows this. For parents who need extra childcare, there is the option of incidental placement, where we always look at what is best for the child and the group. In short, at BSO Vrouwenparochie De Fierljepper children find a familiar place to play, relax and learn new things after school, always under the guidance of committed and qualified pedagogical staff.
