Kids and Carrots aan de Witte de Withstraat

Welcome to Kids and Carrots on Witte de Withstraat, our certified daycare located in the vibrant Zeeheldenkwartier district of The Hague. We provide high-quality childcare for up to 45 children aged 0 to 4 years, organised in horizontal groups: baby groups, toddler groups and toddler-plus groups. By deliberately keeping group sizes small (a maximum of 12 children instead of the legally permitted 16) we create a calm environment in which every child receives the personal attention they need to flourish. Our pedagogical approach is strongly inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, complemented by insights from Emmi Pikler and Thomas Gordon. We regard children as competent explorers who are naturally curious. In our bright, homely rooms furnished with natural materials, children are free to investigate, create and play. Every week professional yoga, music and art teachers visit to introduce new skills and expressive forms in a playful manner. All meals are 100 % organic. Each day we prepare a fresh, hot lunch with at least three different kinds of vegetables; all groceries are sourced exclusively from Ekoplaza. This contributes to a healthy body and a clear mind. The spacious green garden adjoining the daycare invites climbing, sand-castle building and nature discovery. Safety is paramount: the outdoor area is fully fenced and the building has secure entry. Parents stay connected through the Konnect Parent App, which allows you to adjust schedules, receive photos and communicate directly with our pedagogical staff.
