About this care
AI
Welcome to Kids and Carrots on Westerbaenstraat, our intimate toddler group in the heart of The Hague. We provide care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in a calm, homely setting where every child is given space to develop at his or her own pace.
Our Westerbaenstraat location borders the children’s farm ‘t Beestenspul. Through a private gate the children step straight into the farmyard to meet goats, chickens and rabbits. This direct link to animals and nature turns our garden into a unique outdoor space in the city centre. Every day we play outside, tend our vegetable patch and collect leaves, pinecones and mud for craft and discovery activities.
We purposely keep small horizontal toddler groups of no more than twelve children. This means your child is surrounded by peers while our qualified staff can give plenty of time and attention. Our approach is inspired by Reggio Emilia: we see children as competent researchers who are naturally curious. We provide calm, rhythm and cleanliness so children feel safe and secure to explore.
Each week a regular yoga, music or art teacher visits. The children sing, move and create artworks using natural materials. All our food is 100% organic; lunch is freshly steamed every day and contains at least three different kinds of vegetables. In this playful way children learn to make healthy choices.
At Kids and Carrots on Westerbaenstraat we give your toddler the space to be themselves, to grow and to prepare for the next step in their development.Read more
